At the same time as the exhibition in the Düsseldorf state parliament, there was an exhibition in the Old Mill in Bönen on the occasion of International Women’s Day. The exhibition opened on March 8, 2023 with a champagne reception and musical accompaniment by Larissa Neufeld. In addition to the accompanying texts by Diana Ringelsiep, books or relevant specialist literature were made available for each portrait on display.
The closing event was held on April 28th. The guest of honor was Prof. Erika Rosenberg, who gave a lecture on Emilie Schindler to the numerous visitors. This lecture was accompanied musically by the Austrian cellist Magdalena Adlberger, who played, among other things, music from the film “Schindler’s List”.
The organizers were the local community of Bönen, the Bönen adult education center and the Bönen library.
