„Fearless Women“ Exhibition at LWL Marsberg:
Art for Equality & Against Stigmatization

On July 26, 2024, the “Fearless Women” exhibition was inaugurated on the grounds of the LWL Clinic in Marsberg. Initiated by Gender Equality Officer Martina Grewe, around 50 guests gathered to celebrate the 12 feminist portraits together with artist Oliver Schäfer. These artworks make a powerful statement for equality and women’s rights. The artist guided the visitors through the exhibition, answering their questions about the strong women portrayed and their inspiring stories.

With his “Fearless Women” exhibition, Oliver Schäfer aims to combat the stigmatization of people with mental illnesses while fostering greater empathy and understanding. To mark the occasion, the LWL Clinic Marsberg opened its doors to the public to encourage dialogue about mental health and showcase the clinic’s work. Guests also had the opportunity to relax and engage in conversations at the clinic’s café.

The “Fearless Women” exhibition was on display in Marsberg until October 27, 2024. Over the course of three months, visitors had the opportunity to explore the portraits of inspiring women who symbolize courage, strength, and fearlessness.
